The Jack Kain Ford Technician Career Training Program (TCTP) provides training that gives you a stable and lucrative career path. Drive your passion and make it a career with TCTP at Jack Kain Ford in Versailles, KY. TCTP is a paid training program that allows you to earn while you learn.



PHASE 1 |  6-month Quick Lane Training

The candidate technician will learn basic vehicle service skills while shadowing and assisting a certified Quick Lane Technician Mentor. The Technician will be required to compete all Quick Lane technician web courses during this time and perform general job duties as directed to support the service operation. At the end of Phase I the technician must demonstrate the ability to perform basic vehicle service safely with minimal supervision. Upon graduation of this phase the candidate will be provided a predefined tool package to use during the next phase of training.


PHASE 2 | 6-month Service Department Training

The entry level technician will learn advanced vehicle service skills while shadowing and assisting a Ford Master Certified technician mentor. The Technician will be required to complete all Ford technician web courses during this time and perform general job duties as directed to support the service department operation. The Technician will be able to earn a bonus based on achieving a production target. At the end of Phase 2 the entry level technician must demonstrate the ability to perform advanced vehicle service safely with limited supervision. Upon graduation of this phase the technician will be provided a tool package credit through Rotunda to use during the next phases of training.


PHASE 3 | Base Level Technician

The base level technician will work independently while continuing to develop their technical skills. Hands on experience and Ford classroom instruction will advance the technicians abilities. The technician will be paid a flat rate wage with a bonus based on achieving a production target. At the end of Phase 3 the entry level technician must demonstrate the ability perform advanced vehicle service safely with minimal supervision. Upon graduation of this phase the technician will be provided a tool package credit through Rotunda to use during the next phases of training.


PHASE 4 | Master Technician

The master technician works independently with no assistance. They have completed Ford Chassis Master, Drivetrain Master or Engine Master Certification. At the end of Phase 4 the technician must demonstrate the ability to perform advanced vehicle service safely with no supervision. Upon graduation of this phase the technician will be provided a cash bonus based on their performance. All earned graduation tool packages will become the property of the technician.

WE ARE FORD

Lexington native Jack Kain (pictured left), the son of a dairy farmer, learned the true meaning of a "hard day's work" at a very young age, and although he appreciated and respected his father's line of work, he knew that it wasn't for him. While attending the University of Kentucky in 1947 Jack sold cars part time. After spending several years stationed in Alaska during the Korean War, Jack returned home with high ambitions. In 2003 Jack Kain opened a state-of-the-art facility in his current location and he works alongside four of his nine children, Bob, Vickie, Bill and Patrick every day.

FORD PRESIDENTS AWARD

Jack Kain Ford received a 2016 President's Award from Ford Motor Co. The award honors dealerships that have excelled in automotive retailing in 2016, by providing exceptional customer service and satisfaction. This marks the 12th President's Award for the Versailles dealership.
